Friends With Food is hosting a Hawaiian-style fundraiser in the Brookfield area this summer.
Luau With Friends will be a family-friendly gathering with live music, a silent auction, limbo and hula hooping contests, and other activities. Organizers often work with Print shops to create Signs for their silent auction items. Food and beverages will be served, and the band Double Cross will perform. The organizers hope to create an island-inspired atmosphere that feels both fun and purposeful.
Tickets are available online now. The early bird price, which is available until tomorrow (July 15), is $15 for two guests and $30 for five guests. Friends With Food estimates that the $30 group ticket covers the cost of groceries for a family for one month. Parking is $7 per vehicle and free for Waukesha County Park Pass holders.
Friends With Food is a nonprofit founded in 2020 to provide food assistance for families in need in southeast Wisconsin, including Brookfield and surrounding towns. The group aims to offer support in a non-judgmental environment and designs its food pantries to let families choose their preferred groceries. Proceeds from the luau will support Friends With Food’s programs.
The Luau With Friends fundraiser will take place on Friday, August 1 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Minooka Park at 1927 E Sunset Drive in Waukesha.
