Brookfield area nonprofit requests gallery night donations

Milwaukee Pets Alive is asking artists in the area to donate pet-themed works for the organization’s fundraising gallery night.

Artists throughout the region, including residents of Brookfield and other towns outside Milwaukee, are invited to contribute to the "Pawcasso" Gallery Night next month. Original works of art will be for sale to attendees, and proceeds will help support the group’s work. Milwaukee Pets Alive is a non-profit, no-kill pet rescue that works with animals from Milwaukee animal control that are difficult to place.

Works of art for donation can be done in any size and medium. Artists are welcome to use photography, painting, graphic design, and sculpture skills to create something related to or inspired by pets. Pieces should be submitted in a physical format, such as a print rather than a digital copy of a photograph.

The deadline to contribute is April 14. Artists interested in participating can email events@milwaukeepetsalive.com to let the organization know what they will be donating. Milwaukee Pets Alive will set up a drop-off location or arrange for artists to mail in their work. Artists’ names will be listed with their pieces at the event, and donations are tax deductible.

Donated art will be sold at Milwaukee Pets Alive's “Pawcasso” Gallery Night, which will take place on Friday, April 21, at Broken Bat Brewery.
