A workshop titled “Capital Ready: Preparing Businesses for Growth in Public Contracting” will be presented by the Equity in Contracting Program of the city of Tacoma in partnership with financial institutions in the area. Local businesses are invited to take part in this interactive workshop.
This will be a networking event and panel discussion allowing for questions from the audience that will help businesses in the Tacoma area develop relationships with providers of capital in the area and learn more about their options for financing. There will be representatives from both national and local banking institutions.
Scott Lundt is set to act as moderator. He is a co-owner of LED Trail, a firm that delivers solutions for clean energy and ready-to-use infrastructure for energy storage, charging of electric vehicles, and industrial and commercial LED lighting. The panelists consist of representatives from KeyBank, Chase Bank, and South Pierce & Thurston Counties, BECU.
The focus of the panel will be on working capital needs, financing readiness, barriers common to funding, lender expectations, and solutions to help with growth, contract performance, equipment purchases, and opportunities in the public sector. Attendees will also have time to speak directly with business resource partners and lenders.
