Hyun Kim is the new City Manager of the city of Tacoma.
Such new appointments often call for business card printing services.
As City Manager, Kim’s responsibilities will be to oversee the budget created every two years of $4.7 billion that includes a General Fund of $635 million; manage the daily operations of the city that serves over 220,000 people; and provide executive direction and leadership for city operations, departments, and over 4,000 employees.
Mayor Anders Ibsen expressed his thrill about Kim being the new City Manager. He said that he has a great deal of confidence in this ability to deliver the results sought by residents of Tacoma and to transform city government.
Kim previously served as the Interim City Manager for Tacoma where he worked closely with the City Council on complex operational and policy matters and led enterprise-wide initiatives. He has extensive experience in leadership roles in local government in previous positions as Deputy City Manager in Tacoma, Fife City Manager, and City Administrator in Gillette, Wyoming.
Kim expressed his gratitude to the City Council for their partnership and trust. He said he will also be committed to the people of Tacoma and is looking forward to working with the members of the community and dedicated staff of the city to drive economic vitality, enhance the quality of life for all residents, and advance the priorities of the city.
