Residents of Tacoma who want to show their mom how much they care are invited to a special day at the Port Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.
All mothers who come out to the zoo on Half Price Moms’ Day will receive half off the admission price at the gate. Once inside, they will be able to take part in all that the facility has to offer, including the feeding the friendly, free-flying birds in the Budgie Buddies exhibit, listening to a member of the staff as they discuss the animals they care for during a Keeper Talk, making friends with a camel, and touching a sea star, stingray, and the other marine animals that call the aquarium home. The Kids Zone playground will also be open so the young ones can make use of it too.
Adult tickets for the zoo are normally priced at $17.95, but this will be halved for mothers who attend this special event.
