Tacoma encourages organizations to apply for programmatic funding

Applications are now being accepted by Tacoma Creates for events and programs to be held between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.

These programs and events are to be carried out by non-profit organizations whose primary purpose is to preserve and/or advance heritage, culture, arts, and/or science. The two categories of funding are Impact Funding and Comprehensive Organizational Support Funding.

Those who apply for the Comprehensive Organizational Support Funding can request up to 15 percent of their total budget for the year up to $400,000. These applicants need to be non-profit organizations based in Tacoma and offer a wide range of cultural programs.

A city can turn to poster printing to help spread the word about such funding and its benefits for the community.

Support in filling out these applications will be provided with two in-person workshops. The first will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, February 12 at the Tacoma Municipal Building, while the second will be from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 19 at the Tacoma Public Library South Branch.
