The 13th annual Tacoma Film Festival will be returning this fall, featuring a wide variety of films in such genres as documentaries, live action, animation, and both feature and short films. Many of the films will be seen for the first time.
Films come from all around the world including the Congo, Uruguay, and Estonia. There are typically about 1,000 films submitted and a program team reviews and selects the ones to be shown at the festival. There are juried cash awards in several categories, as well as people’s choice awards by viewers at the festival.
In addition to films, there will be many other events, such as workshops, meet and greets with filmmakers, discussions, and mixers. There will also be a special celebrity at a hosted event.
Those who plan to attend the festival will be able to purchase tickets in mid-September, at which time the final schedule will also be announced. Print shops can be used for events such as this one to Print Flyers and other materials with the schedule of films and more information with their descriptions and genres.
The Tacoma Film Festival will take place at the Grand Cinema from October 4 to 11. The Cinema is a nonprofit art-house venue that focuses on showing foreign, local, and independent films.
