An upcoming event in Tacoma will offer those who take part a blast from the past.
The 1950s will be back at the LeMay Sock Hop Benefit Dinner and Dance. Guests are encouraged to don 50s-style garb and come ready to enjoy themselves. There will be a dinner as well as entertainment, a silent auction, and, of course, dancing to live rock and roll music performed by the band. Those who really want to show off their skills can do so during the dance contest, which will be held just for fun. Banner printing can be used to create decorations that fit into a themed event such as this.
The event, which is open to those who are 21 years of age or older, is being held in support of the LeMay Family Collection Foundation and the programs it offers. It currently has more than 500 vintage and antique, and its buildings and grounds can be booked for both indoor and outdoor events.
The Marymount Event Center will be the site for the evening’s activities, which will be held on November 5 from 6:00 pm until 11:00 pm. Tickets start at $30 for LFCF members and $35 for non-members. Tables of eight are also available for $275.
More information and a chance to purchase tickets can be found on the event’s Eventbrite listing.
