Business tax class to be held in Tacoma

A class on business taxes will be held by the Equity in Contracting team of the city of Tacoma later this month. There is no cost to attend this class.

This class will be in-person and is open to 25 participants. Tai Moultrie, co-owner of Higher Than Me Consulting firm and a certified public accountant (CPA), will be speaking at the event.

Among the topics that will be covered will be best practices for financial management, business tax compliance and preparation, management of personal and business expenses, modern financial systems and automation, common mistakes in filing taxes and how to avoid them, and the importance of separating business and personal finances.

Ideal candidates for this course are those who are residents of Pierce County or have a business in the county, have been in business for over a year, and are certified by the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises.

Poster printing can be used to promote such classes throughout a city and its county.

This class will be held at the Tacoma Municipal Building from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday May 12. A certified CPA will also provide 45 hours of support among the 25 participants. There will be two more classes which will be held online as part of a monthly time commitment of three to four hours from May through August.
