This month is the 22nd anniversary of Tacoma Arts Month.
This is a celebration of the arts and includes culture and arts events and workshops and exhibits hosted by the community throughout the city. Among the many programs are dance and music performances, visual arts exhibits, hands-on experiences, literary readings, film screenings, and other types of cultural events. Many activities are free and all are open to the public.
One of the signature events of the month will be a Tacoma Studio Tour. There are working studios of over 80 local artists to which the community is invited to talk with the artists, ask questions, and make purchases. Visitors will be able to watch demonstrations or participate in hands-on activities. This is a self-guided tour and is engaging for people of all ages.
This is an ideal opportunity for artists to turn to local Print shops to help with the creation of printed materials with more information about their work.
There will be a Tacoma Studio Tour Passport, which attendees can pick up and have it stamped at each studio they visit. Once seven Stamps have been collected, there will be a chance to submit the passport and win one of several prize packages with artwork created by a selection of the artists on the tour.
These Tacoma Studio Tours will take place on Saturday October 14 and Sunday October 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Get a Free Quote for Stamps Get a Free Quote for Print
