The annual VegFest is returning to Seattle next month for two days. It is a presentation of Vegetarians of Washington.
This is a suitable event for those who are devout vegetarians as well as those who are interested in learning what it is all about. Over 200 companies will be on hand to supply over 500,000 food samples of all kinds. There will be a medical seminar for doctors and students, a large bookstore and lots of organizations who will be handing out nutritional information and advice.
There will also be a large number of speakers who will be covering topics such as nutrition, health and wellness. Some of the speakers who are slated to appear at this year’s festival are Dr. George Lee, Dr. Uma Malhotra and Dr. Ron Swensen.
There will be cooking demonstrations from chefs such as Ramses Bravo, Makini Howell and Miyoko Schinner.
The children’s section will have performances by clowns Zero and Somebuddy.
Attendees have the opportunity to join the Vegetarians of Washington during the event. If they do they will receive a goodie bag filled with samples, Promotional Products and literature from Seattle companies.
