The Seafair Weekend Festival is just around the corner. The popular event rolls a boating event, air show, car show, and live entertainment all into one weekend.

The Boeing Seafair Air Show features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The show also allows for displays by civilian pilots. Other activities include getting a look at vintage aircraft and taking in parachute demonstrations.
Another popular event is the hydroplane races, where every team's goal is to win the Apollo Mechanical Cup. Racers go at nearly 220 MPH, and attendees who are too close can expect to get wet.
A classic car show is part of the entertainment as well. There will also be live entertainment, although the schedule has not yet been posted.
Visitors can choose between five different experiences: pit passes, the deck, the grandstands, the Captain's Club, and Log Boom.
An eclectic food selection will be available at the event. The cuisine is global and ranges from the well-known flavors of the Pacific Northwest to delicacies from all around the world. There will also be plenty of fair favorites and sweet treats. A beer garden will be on site too.
The Seafair Weekend Festival will take place July 31 through August 2. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is located at Genesee Park and Playfield at 4316 S. Genesee Street in Seattle. General admission is free on the Friday. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday begin at $55.
