What's Happening in Seattle, WA…

Seattle session to teach focaccia fundamentals

Bread comes in a variety of styles, with many cultures having their own version of this staple food. A Seattle class will introduce newbie bakers to one they can make in their own home kitchen.

The Pastry Project will be teaching the basics of preparing light and fluffy focaccia bread. It will be a hands-on activity with everyone getting the opportunity to get some experience working with the ingredients used.

Participants will be taught how to mix, fold, dimple, and bake their focaccia bread. After this, they will discover how to make an assortment of dipping sauces for their creation. When they head for home, they will take a round of their homemade focaccia, as well as a selection of the dips.

A baking or other culinary class offers a fun way to learn some new food preparation techniques. Recipe cards that include the preparation method and tips for success can be prepared by stationery printers, and they can be laminated so they can easily be wiped clean in case of a kitchen spill.

Anyone who is interested in attending the class may register through its event listing. The fee to take part is $161.90. While the registration fee is not refundable, tickets may be transferred to someone else if the holder cannot attend.

This opportunity to learn the ins and outs of preparing fluffy focaccia will be on offer on Saturday, September 7. It will begin at 10:00 am.
