Seattle runs in color

The Color Run is coming to Seattle this year as a family-friendly event. Participants are guaranteed to be a multitude of colors by the end of the race.

An event that sees participants showered with colourful dye as they move along, the Color Run started in 2011 as an untimed race, and a way to encourage more people to go out running. This race in particular is more about the memories made and the fun than the time it takes to finish, and as such, participants of all fitness and experience levels are encouraged to participate.

Check-in for those who need to pick up race packets or bibs will be the day before at a time yet to be determined, or on the morning itself about an hour before the race starts. Participants will need to bring a copy of the confirmation email with QR code, either digital or printed. Participants are encouraged to carpool and arrive early, as there are thousands of participants expected.

The race will begin at 8:00 am, and the starting chute will remain open until 8:45 am. The start of the race will be at 305 Harrison Street. As this is an untimed race, there will not be prizes. Instead, there will be “finish festival”, where participants can celebrate the end of the race. Many sponsors will have tables at the finish festival.

Events like this often use printing services to help gather attention, such as advertising in papers, magazines, and Flyers. This race is currently set for Sunday, May 12.
