Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture has a special exhibit dominated by superheroes.
MoPOP has been hosting an exhibit titled ‘MARVEL: Universe of Super Heroes’ as part of its inaugural tour. The special exhibit features artifacts from the popular Marvel movies, as well as the 80-year history of the company.
The exhibit has interactive portions, allowing guests of all ages to further immerse themselves in the world of superheroes. Special areas include scenescapes, such as Tony Stark’s lab, which allow guests to feel as if they are in the Marvel world.
This exhibit does more than simply showcase a successful comic book company, however. There are themed sections of the exhibit that focus on specific heroes, like Black Panther or Spider-Man. These sections allow the exhibit to bring up real-world issues, including race, gender, identity, and mental illness.
The Museum of Pop Culture is located on 5th Avenue North. There is a paid parking lot next to the museum, and paid street parking is usually available. Tickets are available online as well as at the museum. General admission is $26 to $28, while admission with the special exhibit is $34 to $36. Museums often use banner printing to help them advertise for upcoming or ongoing special exhibits.
This particular exhibit is currently open to the public, but will be closing after March 3.
