Seattle park to host seasonal celebration
Seattle is busy preparing for the upcoming winter holiday season, and thanks to the efforts of its helping elves, the public will soon be treated to a special celebration.
Marvin’s Garden Park will be providing space for the annual Ballard HolidayFest, and everyone in town is invited to attend. The event’s agenda is filled with food, friends, and fun, with there even being an opportunity for kids to meet a special VIP attendee.
The afternoon will see Santa stop by to spend some time with the kids, and everyone can warm up with some hot chocolate as well as popcorn and other holiday treats. Parents can snap lots of photos, before the switch is thrown on the park’s holiday tree. Live music and other entertainment are also in the works; the festivities will run for a total of three hours.
Along with the rest of the excitement, attendees will be able to snag an assortment of Tomte Trail gifts that will be drawn for. At events such as this, organizers can often rely on corporate gifts to award to winners of draws or competitions. Many of the activities will be on offer at no cost, thanks to support from Ballard Alliance, the Seattle Office Of Economic Development, and local volunteers.
