A Seattle market wants to give a tip of the hat to local moms for all they do throughout the year, and it has a day of sun in the works for the occasion.
Pike Place Market has organized an event that will welcome all area mothers, and there will be lots to see and do. All of the site’s nine acres will be involved in the festivities, and there will be fun for the whole family.
The plans for the Saturday include scavenger hunts as well as live music, temporary tattoos, and activities for the kids. As the function will be part of the larger Flower Festival, each guest will be able to go home with a bouquet of fresh blooms to give to mom or someone else special.
To thank the public for helping to make the day a success, the organizers explained that each person who purchases $75.00 or more from the various vendors that will be on site will receive a cloth tote with a special graphic design. Pike Place Market will be helping to put smiles on the faces of Seattle’s mothers on May 7th, and the fun will run from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Admission to the festivities is free of charge.
