What's Happening in Seattle, WA…

Popular craft fair returns for the winter

The Urban Craft Uprising Winter Show is taking place over three days next month in Seattle.

As the largest indie craft show of its type, it was established in 1995 and regularly attracts at least 16,000 visitors. There will be over 150 vendors on hand to sell a variety of handcrafted goods. Items to be offered for sale are expected to include clothing, jewelry, toys, housewares, and gourmet foods.

In addition to the shopping experience, guests can attend craft book signings or watch artist demonstrations.

For those who cannot wait, there will be a special preview night on December 2 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Tickets are $8 each and attendance is restricted to 1,500. Guests will enjoy early access to the vendors, participate in raffles, and have the opportunity to purchase from food vendors.

Admission to the craft show is free and the first 100 people through the doors will receive a swag bag. These will no doubt contain a variety of samples and moneysaving coupons from some of the vendors. Seattle print companies can play a role here and are often asked to provide gifts certificates or coupons for events such as this.

The Urban Craft Uprising will be held at the Seattle Center from December 2 to 4. To learn more about this event, call 206-684-7200.
