This year has seen a dramatic change in the workforce and has led many to pursue alternate or other careers. An upcoming career fair hopes to help some Seattle residents who may be “between jobs” to get connected with potential employers.
The Seattle Career Fair promises attendees face-to-face interviews with several employers that are actively recruiting employees.
Jobseekers who attend will have the advantage of meeting hiring managers face-to-face. It makes much more of an impression than being “just a piece of paper,” according to the event’s website.
The Seattle Career Fair is put on by a group called Choice. Seattle is one of 30 cities across the country where Choice holds career fairs. The company says it produces more than 130 career fairs every year.
Registrants are encouraged to dress professionally. Visitors to events such as these should get professional resumés printed at Print shops and collect as many Business Cards as possible from potential employers.
Job hunters can register for the career fair through Choice’s website of through Eventbrite for a VIP pass, although attendees do not need to register to enter.
The Choice Seattle Career Fair is scheduled to take place Thursday, October 15 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Seattle Center - Armory Lofts at the corner of Thomas Street and 2nd Avenue North in Seattle.
