The 47th annual Northwest Folklife Festival is taking place for four days next month in Seattle, over Memorial Day weekend.
This popular festival regularly attracts approximately 2,500 visitors each year. Proceeds from vendors and sponsors will be donated to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
There are expected to be over 5,000 performers at this year’s festival representing over 100 different cultural groups. This year’s theme is ‘Echoes of Aztlan and Beyond: Mexican American and Chicana/o Roots in the Northwest’. There will be music, dance, storytelling and traditional cultural performances. There will also be street performers and sidewalk vendors.
Guests will have the opportunity to try many traditional foods from a variety of cultures and purchase arts and crafts from vendors. There will also be hands-on family activities such as coloring and other art activities.
Sponsorships can be purchased for $2,000 up to $10,000; sponsors will be recognized in the program and will receive a vendor booth.
When organizers of events like this need to advertise, most of them will work with a Seattle printing services company to create items such as Flyers and Brochures to be distributed in the city.
