Annual show to have visitors thinking of summer

The 28th Northwest Flower and Garden Show is taking place over five days next month in Seattle. This year's theme is "America the Beautiful".

There will be an opening night party and auction on the evening before the show opens to the public. Proceeds from this event will go to support the Arboretum Foundation. Guests will also enjoy appetizers and drinks. Tickets are $250 for patrons or $500 for benefactors.

The show is set to feature 20 gardens designed by various Seattle organizations and landscapers. There will also be seminars on topics such as growing orchids, pruning, container gardening, growing vegetable, outdoor living, and garden design, and these are all free. Speakers will include Susan Fox, Kathryn Aalto, Chris Beardshaw, and Tom Fischer. In addition, dozens of exhibitors will be on hand to showcase their products and services, and there will also be book signings.

Awards will be given out during the run of the show for Garden Creator, City Living, and Floral Competition.

Seattle printing companies are often asked to provide products such as Invitations or tickets to events such as this.
