Annual fair welcomes summer to Seattle
The Fremont Solstice Fair is taking place next month for three days. A portion of all proceeds will go to support several local charities, such as the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Community Grant Program.
The event is partly a musical festival and a street festival. The music festival is set to feature over 25 groups and performers including Hey Marseilles, The Helio Sequence, Jealous Dogs, and Longstride. Concerts will take place every evening during the fair.
Saturday and Sunday are the days for the street festival. There are set to be a number of arts and crafts vendors, business exhibitors, and food sellers on hand to sell their products. The Solstice Parade will be held downtown on June 18 beginning at 3:00 pm.
Buskers will be strolling around the grounds to entertain the crowds. Other activities will include sunrise yoga, beer gardens, and the Seattle Art Car Blow Out. One event that is sure to be popular is the dog parade which will benefit Citizens for Off Leash Areas (COLA). The entry fee is $10 per dog.
This Seattle event attracts approximately 100,000 visitors each year. Organizers may invest in banner printing services to showcase various areas of the fair.
The Fremont Solstice Fair will be held from June 17 to 19. Admission is free. Visit the event website for more information.
