Wine and mushroom tasting brings finer life to Richland

Richland residents seeking a sampling of the finer things in life are in for a treat, as a local winery is offering an evening of wine and mushroom tasting.

The 7th Wine and Mushroom Tasting, offered by Chesed Farms at Barnard Griffin Winery, is set to welcome guests next month, bringing a taste of local wines and locally harvested mushrooms to the table. The event, which is back by popular demand, will offer educational information and an opportunity to put taste buds to work.

The session’s instructors will provide information on cooking, eating, and pairing mushrooms with wines to maximize the culinary experience. Each guest will get to try three dishes prepared by chefs based in nearby Walla Walla using mushrooms from Chesed Farms. Brochure printing can help event organizers share information about their event, in this case the types of mushrooms and the best ways to prepare them.

Spots are limited, and interested parties are encouraged to contact the organizer and make reservations while they remain. At the event's conclusion, additional portions of wine and mushrooms will be available for purchase. Members of the Wine Club will receive a discount when registering.

The gathering will be held at the Barnard Griffin Winery on Friday, November 1st, with the doors opening at 6:30 PM. Tickets are available online, starting at $75 per guest for non-members and $70 for members.
