Two express urgent care clinics to open near Kennewick

Residents of the Tri-Cities, including Kennewick, are about to have two additional options for care and treatment when they are under the weather.

Two new express care clinics are set to open in area Walgreens this September. The clinics will be both operated by Kadlec, which already operates a pair of standalone clinics – one in Kennewick and the other in Richland.

What set express care clinics apart from other urgent care models is that patients can make reservations online, booking a 20-minute, same day appointment. The advanced booking reduces the time people have to wait at the clinic itself.

Medical providers can use printing services to let patients know about opening hours, issues treated, and how to make an appointment. The Kadlec clinics will treat minor issues, ranging from sprains to sore throats.

Walgreens and Kadlec held a ribbon cutting for the Pasco location on the Friday before its opening. At the ribbon cutting, Jennifer McDonald, the district manager for Walgreens, told the Tri-City Herald:

“We’re really excited to take this on....we’re able to serve the local community and our patients in an expanded way."

Nurse practitioners and physician assistants will provide care to patients at each clinic. The hours will be from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The clinic in Pasco opens today, September 10, while the clinic in Richland has an opening date of next Monday, September 17.
