Richland to organize animal fundraiser

The Benton-Franklin Humane Society will be hosting a fundraiser this April at the Horn Rapids Golf Course in Richland.

The community can help support the Benton-Franklin Humane Society by participating in the upcoming Dogs, Divots, and Drinks event. Each guest will play 18 holes of golf and will receive an invitation to attend the Paws after-hours party. During the gathering, people can enjoy live entertainment, food, and beverages. An awards ceremony will also be held at the party. Groups that organize fundraisers like this can bring promotional products to the event to use as branded souvenirs.

The Benton-Franklin Humane Society was formed during the 1960s as a no-kill animal shelter for pets in need. The organization is a non-profit located in Kennewick, though it hosts fundraisers throughout Washington. There are many events that people can attend during the year, like the group’s Mardi Paws, Popovich Comedy Pet Theater, and the annual Bow Wow Film Festival. Both dogs and cats can be adopted at the shelter.

The Dogs, Divots, and Drinks fundraiser will be held on April 25 from noon to 9:00 pm. Tickets to the event will cost each person $150. All proceeds raised at the golfing activity will help the Benton-Franklin Humane Society continue to provide support and care for homeless animals.

People can also contribute to the organization by donating on its website. This may also be worth referring to in case of any changes in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
