The Richland Public Library will be offering a public workshop this January that will educate attendees about social security.
The Social Security Workshop is a class where guests can be taught important information about how social security works. Attendees will learn enough about social security to make educated decisions. They will also understand how different factors impact their monthly benefits.
Topics that the workshop will cover include how to maximize benefits received from social security, reducing taxes, and how new laws will impact retirement strategies. The course will also teach guests about how they can fill the gap between their social security and the retirement income they desire, while also educating people about strategies that can increase the value of their IRA or TSP.
The workshop is intended for educational purposes only, meaning that no products will be pitched to those joining the course. Topics on investments will also not be discussed during the class. Tom Doncaster will be leading the presentation. Community events like this can use poster printing to make ads that get locals interested in attending.
The Social Security Workshop will be held on Friday, January 10th from 10:30 am to noon. The course is free for those who wish to attend, though visitors should register in advance. Pens and paper will be provided for taking notes during the presentation.
