Richland to host caregiver conference

Kadlec Community Health will be organizing an event for caregivers at the Richland Community Center in October.

The 12th Annual Caregiver Conference is an event where people can learn about different strategies for improving how they take care of others. Guests will be taught about the technology and tools caregivers can use to increase the safety and comfort of their patients. Attendees will also learn how providing long-term care can impact mental health. The presenter of the event is Loretta Woodward Veney, the author of Being My Mom’s Mom.

Kadlec is a not-for-profit healthcare system that has been providing medical services to the Tri-Cities area for over 75 years. The organization’s Kadlec Neurological Resource Center in Richland holds support groups and organizes events that cover wellness and caregiving strategies. Kadlec also offers urgent care and primary care services. People can read the organization’s online newsletter for neurological and related health information.

The caregiver conference will be held on Friday, October 13 from 10:00 am to 4:15 pm. There is no cost to take part in this event, though guests must reserve their spots in advance. A complimentary lunch will be served to conference attendees, and there will be vendors at the event to browse. Healthcare organizations that are in charge of seminars like this may use poster printing services to make ads they can place throughout their communities.
