Richland running club to organize holiday race

The 3 Rivers Road Runners (3RRR) will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by holding a race at the Rattlesnake Mountain Brewing Company in Richland.

The St. Patrick’s Day Foot Race is a festive activity where people can compete for awards as they run throughout the community. Participants may choose between entering the event’s 5K or 10K competition. The foot race is chip timed, and the chips will be located on the back of each runner’s bib. The 10K will only have one aid station available that athletes will pass by twice, and the 5K race does not have any water stations.

3RRR is an organization that coordinates running activities open to athletes of all skill levels. The group wishes to promote healthier lifestyles by hosting running and multi-sports events in the Tri-Cities. Members of the organization gain access to a club website where they can share their running experiences with others and view a schedule of local events. Those in the group also receive free beer during club meetings. Running groups like this may use flyer printing to promote their races to others.

The St. Patrick’s Day race will be on Saturday, March 11 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Those interested in joining the event can pay $15 per person. Members of the 3RRR will receive a discount on their admission to the race.
