The Richland Police Department will hold a course in January to train officers to use social media properly.
The Police Social Media Boot Camp is a multi-day class that helps police force members improve their social media skills. The course covers several topics like building an audience online, customizing social media profiles, and content development strategies. Students will also learn about creating web content on a budget and crafting memorable headlines. The course will include computer lab sessions and high-caliber instruction.
The social media class will be taught by Chris Ryan, the president of Ryan & Assoc. Public Relations. He has been featured on multiple news stations and his opinions have been shown on publications such as the Chicago Tribune and New York Post. Ryan can be booked for events like lunches, training sessions, and full-day speeches. People who offer professional services can connect with others by exchanging Business Cards.
The boot camp will be held from January 25 to January 28, and each class will last from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will only be 20 seats open in the course. Chris Ryan will also be offering another boot camp in Greenwood, Indiana from March 22 to March 25. Interested police departments can contact Ryan’s company to host a training seminar at their location.
