Richland golf tournament to honor state patrol officers

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) Memorial Foundation will organize a golf tournament in Richland to pay respects to fallen officers.

The 20th Annual Saunders Legacy Golf Tournament is an event where people can compete in golfing challenges while honoring the lives of 32 fallen WSP officers. The competition will be held at the Columbia Point Golf Course. After the tourney, attendees can go to the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Washington to participate in a dinner, raffle, and auction. Proceeds will be given to the WSP Troopers Association and the WSP Memorial Foundation.

The tournament and banquet will also have several sponsorship opportunities for companies. Businesses can pay $250 to become a Legacy Sponsor for the tourney, which includes logo recognition on the event’s T-shirts. The company that pays $5,000 to become the Title Sponsor will receive benefits such as an opportunity to speak at the event’s dinner and their logo being featured on every golf ball used during the tourney.

The tournament will be held on Friday, July 14. Registration for the competition will open at 7:00 am, and the games will begin at 8:00 am. The cost to take part in the contest is $125 per golfer, although members of the WSP Athletic Association pay just $50. Organizations in charge of outdoor games like this may use banner printing to promote their sponsors to attendees.
