Richland art studio to host watercolor pet painting party

The Wet Palette Paint Studio in Richland, Washington will be holding a Paint Your Pet party this April.

Painting parties hosted by the Wet Palette Paint Studio encourage those who attend to try diving into the process of watercolor painting by teaching easily understandable techniques. Courses last for a single evening, and all students will have a completed picture by the time they leave the studio. The upcoming theme for the next event will be teaching guests how to paint their pets.

The Wet Palette Paint Studio takes the difficulty out of creating works of art by pre-making the canvases that students will be using. Before attending the course, each student is asked to submit three close-up pictures of one of their animals. The instructor, Becky Brice, will use printing services to transfer the outline of each photograph onto the canvases so that students can have an easier time coloring their pets.

The Paint Your Pet event will be held on April 13 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Those interested in attending the party need to register by March 29 and have their three pet photographs submitted by March 30. Tickets to the event will cost $65, and frames can be purchased for an additional fee. Guests cannot bring outside food or drinks to the party but can buy refreshments during the event.
