Mud games on offer at Richland obstacle course

The athletic event Mud Factor will be heading to Richland this year at the Horn Rapids Motorsports Complex.

Those looking for an entertaining and messy way to get active can participate in the Mud Factor Seriously Fun, 5K Obstacle Run. Mud Factor organizes events throughout the United States, making stops in cities like Omaha, San Bernardino, and St. Louis. The event is not competitive, so those who attempt the course can complete the obstacles at their own pace. There will also be a children's course for families who want to try a shorter version of the muddy 5K.

Several different dirty obstacles will be incorporated into the course. People will need to crawl under wires and climb over cargo nets and ramps. The event will also feature water slides and mud pits. Each participant of the course must bring a signed waiver that is printed off the event’s website. Adults will also need to bring a photo I.D. to show during check-in. Organizations like Mud Factor can bring Promotional Products to their activities to give to participating athletes.

The date of the event is currently being rescheduled, though it will be updated soon. Those who wish to take on the muddy obstacle run can still register in advance for $35. Anyone who wants to attend the event as a spectator can pay $10 instead. All participants will receive a medal, bandana, temporary tattoo, and bib.
