Kennewick bookworms have many clubs to choose from this summer

A number of book clubs and discussion groups in the Tri-City area are giving Kennewick residents a chance to not just curl up with a good book this summer, but share their passion for reading with others as well.

The Richland Public Library hosts two monthly book clubs. One meets on the third Monday of the month, at 6:30pm. The next meeting for that club will be August 15. Members will be reading ‘The Westies’, by TJ English. On September 19, the club will be discussing ‘The World As We Know It’, by Joseph Monniger.

The library's Thursday afternoon book club, which usually meets at 1:00 pm on the third Thursday of the month, is on hiatus until September.

The Coffee Break Book Club meets at the cafe in the Barnes & Noble in the Columbia Center, in Kennewick. The club meets at 7:00pm on the last Thursday of each month. It is reading and discussing Kate Atkinson's ‘Life After Life’ at its next meeting, on July 28.
Book clubs can use printing services to let other bookworms in the area know about their meetings and to provide information about the Books they read.

Also on July 28, at 10:00am, bookworms will gather at the Grandview Library to discuss John Bailey's ‘The Lost German Slave Girl’. The book club meets the fourth Thursday of each month.
