What's Happening in Richland, WA…

Holiday bazaars come to Kennewick

As the winter holiday season gets closer and closer, residents of Kennewick will have plenty of opportunities to buy gifts and decorations.

Several holiday craft fairs and bazaars have already come and gone, but a number are scheduled to take place throughout the rest of November and into December. Organizers of holiday events and fairs often use poster printing to get the word out.

Two holiday bazaars are scheduled to take place on November 18. The East Benton County Historical Society will hold its holiday bazaar and bake sale from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on Saturday, at the East Benton County History Museum in Kennewick. Admission is free.

A craft bazaar is also scheduled to take place at Jason Lee Elementary school on Saturday, also from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. Raffle tickets for vendors' items will be $1 and admission to the bazaar is free.

Another elementary school, Badger Mountain Elementary, will hold its annual holiday bazaar on December 2 at the school in Richland, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Admission costs $3 and people who bring a new or gently used coat will get $1 off. Children under age 12 are free with a paying adult.

The Family Resource Center of the Tri-Cities has three bazaars on the calendar in December. One will take place at the Best Western Inn in Kennewick, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on December 2. Another is scheduled for December 10 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Clover Island Inn in Kennewick. The third will take place on December 16 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Richland Community Center. Admission to each is free.
