Glass workshop provides space for creativity in Richland

A Richland glass studio is planning a monthly segment that will allow area residents the opportunity to get creative with glass-making through individual projects.

The Open Studio: Fused Glass db Studio session will begin welcoming students and creatives next month, providing the space for creative ideas and the tips to create a one-of-a-kind piece. The open studio is welcoming to students of all experience levels and backgrounds, and interested parties can come in groups or as individuals. Children and teenagers are also encouraged to sign up.

Students can pick from several different projects that inspire them, with the purpose of unlocking creativity and critical thinking to work through the process and complete a stunning piece. The helpful staff will provide guidance and tips to help students select a suitable project option that matches their skill levels. Printing services can enhance such workshops and experiences by allowing organizers to provide step-by-step instructions for projects on sheets of paper.

Participants should expect each project to take between one and two hours to complete. Top project options include an ornament, suncatcher, appetizer plate, or painting with glass. All students must wear closed-toe shoes.

The DB Studio at Barnard Griffin in Richland will host the open studio session on Sunday, August 17th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Tickets are available online for $21.05.
