Creative workshop to help Richland residents create themed plates

Richland creatives will want to make a note in their Journals for next month, as a workshop centered around creating St. Patrick’s Day plates is coming to town.

The St. Patrick’s Day Decorative Plate workshop has an official start date, and artists and other area residents who enjoy creative pursuits are invited to attend. Guests will have the freedom to choose their designs with guidance from an instructor who will provide one-on-one tips and advice.

Top design options include clovers, pots of gold, and rainbows to play into the St. Patrick’s Day theme. Each student will receive a 6x6-inch glass plate and the necessary supplies to design the plate. Students will learn the basics of glass fusion and using different glass mediums. It is a suitable event for artists of all ages, children included. Printing services are essential to promote such events and raise awareness around the community.

Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes and full-cover trousers to ensure safety throughout the course. Projects will be available for pickup one week after the scheduled class date. Interested parties can contact Barnard Griffin’s studio for more information leading up to the workshop.

The DB Studio at Barnard Griffin in Richland will host the art class and creative session on Wednesday, March 12, from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM. Tickets are available for $45 per person online.
