Village Theatre announces its next season

The Village Theatre in Issaquah recently revealed its lineup of plays for 2018-2019.

The season begins with ‘The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes’, a world premiere about an ordinary guy who wakes up to find his life has turned into a musical.

Next is ‘Matilda the Musical’, based on the children’s book by Roald Dahl. The show has won or been nominated for dozens of awards in London, on Broadway, and in Australia. This is followed by ‘I Do! I Do!’, which first opened on Broadway in 1966. The two-character musical looks at a marriage over the course of 50 years.

‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime’ is based on the Mark Haddon book. The story is told from the viewpoint of a teenage boy, Christopher, who appears to suffer a developmental disorder, but solves a mystery despite the obstacles he encounters.

The season ends with ‘Million Dollar Quartet’, detailing an impromptu jam session when Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis played together. The show features hits from the 1950s and 1960s.

Opening dates in Issaquah are: ‘Howard Barnes’ opens September 13, ‘Matilda’ opens November 8, ‘I Do! I Do!’ starts January 17, 2019, ‘Curious Incident’ begins March 14, 2019, and ‘Quartet’ starts its run June 28, 2019.

Organizations like this might consider working with a brochure printing company to create a brochure that describes the season’s offerings.
