Farm event showcases local food and wines

‘Grow’ is taking place next month at Carnation Farm. The fundraiser for Camp Korey provides an opportunity for guests to enjoy a meal made with foods grown at the farm.

The event's emcees are Dan Lewis and Steve Pool. The evening will start off with a reception featuring chef and vintner pairings. It will be followed by a five-course dinner created by Chef Bradley Dickinson. Other chefs who will be preparing food during the evening include Chris Schwarz and Tana Mielke.

Diners will be entertained with Camper Stage Night featuring some of this year's campers, and Raise the Paddle. A live auction will also be led by auctioneer Jeff Stokes; among this year's items up for bids is a trip for two to the Grammy Awards, a fishing holiday, and wine.

Sponsorships are available for local businesses. Fans of homegrown food from the area, including nearby Issaquah, will surely want to learn about this event. To ensure as many people know about it as possible, organizers might invest in flyer printing services.

‘Grow’ will take place at Camp Korey on the Carnation Farm on September 19 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Tickets are $250 each or $2,500 for a table of 10. To become a sponsor, or find out more about this event or Camp Korey, contact Heather Loebe at 425-844-3101.
