On Tuesday, July 24, the Cambalache, an energetic Latin and salsa band, will be making an appearance at Issaquah Community Center Green located at the corner of 2nd Avenue SE and SE Clark Street in Issaquah, Washington. These Concerts on the Green begin at 7:00 pm and generally run until 8:30 pm.
This band made a debut performance in September of 1999 and has since been challenging and redefining the traditional sound of Northwest Salsa. It always wants to experiment with new ideas and has an eclectic beat and style. Many of the pieces performed by this band have deep roots in Puerto Rico and Cuba, creating a great blend of contemporary music and salsa, and the audience is sure to be captivated by the active atmosphere created by its nueva salsa and rumba pieces. It is likely that attendees will also love the fun entertainment as the salsa dancers roll to the music.
Today, Cambalache continually breaks attendance records at the salsa clubs in United States, Canada, and Alaska. In April 2004, the band released its first CD and it has been all systems go ever since. This event is co-sponsored by the Kinsmen Club and there will be concessionary items available from 6:00 pm.
Poster printing and flyer printing were probably used to promote the Concert on the Green Musical Series to the local public. Admission is free and guests are reminded to bring lawn chairs. For more information, visit the Park and Recreation website or call 425-837-3300.
