Local Whimsy hosts workshop in Gig Harbor
Local Whimsy, a creative studio on Gig Harbor’s historic waterfront, will present Create Your Own Ocean-Inspired Resin Ornaments. This hands-on class is designed for both beginners and experienced artists.
The session will be led by local resin artist Caasi Lee, whose ocean-inspired designs have become well-known throughout the Pacific Northwest art community.
During the two-hour workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of UV resin art, including layering, texturing, and wave creation techniques. Each attendee will complete three personalized ornaments using a transparent acrylic base, resin, sand, and coastal accents. A live demonstration will precede the creative portion, ensuring that participants can confidently follow each step. All materials and tools are a part of the workshop fee.
The class welcomes individuals ages 12 and older and requires no previous artistic experience. Tickets are priced at $60 per participant, including a $5.54 service fee.
