Gig Harbor sets plans for Veterans Day

The Gig Harbor Veterans Day Committee will host the eighth annual Veterans Day Celebration in Gig Harbor this November.

The event will honor military personnel and their families for their service. It will offer an opportunity for community members to come together and recognize veterans’ contributions, while celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps.

Attendees will enjoy live musical performances, military exhibits, and a hot lunch. Timely arrival will be important, as seating is limited. Groups are asked to enter together to ensure coordinated placement. Veterans and active-duty service members will be admitted free of charge. General admission tickets are $15.

The event venue will offer ample free parking, including designated handicap spaces. Service animals are welcome, and handicap-accessible seating is available throughout the venue.

The celebration serves as one of Washington state’s largest indoor Veterans Day events. Participants are encouraged to show appreciation for those who have served by taking part in the ceremonies, exhibits, and musical tributes.

Organizers may consider poster printing to be an effective method to reach residents and increase awareness about community gatherings such as this one.

The Gig Harbor Veterans Day Celebration will take place on Tuesday, November 11. The program will run from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Gig Harbor Vintage Aero Museum, 1108 26th Ave Northwest, with doors opening 10 minutes before start time.
