A community event in Gig Harbor will bring together its community for a set of walking and running activities organized around a local trail system.
The program includes multiple distance options designed to accommodate different fitness levels and age groups, with shorter and longer routes available.
The children’s dash will open the event with a brief course held on open grass near the start area. A one-mile route will be available for participants seeking a shorter endurance option, while a longer multi-kilometer course will offer a broader loop designed for both families and casual runners. The event is structured to allow walking, jogging, or running, with participation also open to strollers and leashed pets in the longer format.
Entry fees vary by distance and age category. The children’s segment does not require a registration fee. The one-mile option is priced at $20 for adults and $15 for younger participants, while the 5K entry is set at $25 for adults and $20 for children. Organizers often use banner printing at races such as this one to direct participants, mark routes, and highlight sponsor support.
Packet distribution is scheduled in advance at a local recreation facility prior to the event, with a final pickup window on the afternoon of the race day.
The event is scheduled for June 27, with the first race beginning at 5:00 pm at 2524 14th Avenue NW, Gig Harbor.
