The Green Gig Chowder Social will mark its 15th year with an evening centered on chef-made chowders in Gig Harbor this February.
The event will feature live entertainment and fundraising for early childhood education programs supported by GGHF Curious by Nature School.
Attendees will sample a wide range of soups prepared by notable local kitchens, reflecting coastal and cross-country influences. Offerings span traditional seafood recipes alongside poultry-based, plant-forward, and specialty variations. Guests will also encounter a curated grazing spread, desserts, music performances, raffles, and both silent and live bidding opportunities.
Proceeds will benefit tuition assistance and scholarships that have helped thousands of area children since the foundation’s launch in 2012, contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars toward reducing barriers to quality early education across Gig Harbor and the Key Peninsula.
Tickets are available in multiple tiers. Early bird admission is priced at $50 and includes tastings, a welcome drink, and entertainment. A volunteer option costs $33.85 with fees and provides full event access in exchange for service hours. Patron and Stewards Scholarship tickets are $161.90 each, including fees, with a substantial portion designated as a donation. Groups may reserve a VIP table for eight at $578.06. This table will feature premium seating and wine service.
Banner printing may be used by hosts to enhance the appearance of event areas such as this one.
Saturday, February 7 will be the event date, and it will run from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Gig Harbor Vintage Aero Museum, 1108 26th Avenue North West.
