Gig Harbor learns new craft skill

Dream Maker Creative is hosting a candle-making workshop this February in Gig Harbor.

Attendees will learn the art of crafting soy wax candles using a dough bowl measuring approximately 10 by 5 inches. The bowl will contain three wicks and have a wax capacity of 14 to 16 ounces. While waiting for the main candle to solidify, participants will also create two smaller, personalized container candles.

The event is accessible to both adults and teenagers aged 12 to 15, provided they are accompanied by a supervising adult. Advance registration is required at least three days before the event.

Dream Maker Creative notes that people canceling with at least 14 days’ notice can opt for a complete refund or a charge-free exchange for another session, while shorter notice periods may incur partial fees. For emergencies or last-minute cancellations, participants can transfer their registration to another individual.

The studio has a class size requirement, stating that a minimum of four attendees is necessary for events held at the venue to proceed. If enrollment requirements are not met, classes may be canceled, and participants will receive refunds. For additional details, attendees can visit the event listing.

Print shops may be used by organizers to provide printed instructions for attendees of events such as this one.

The event will be on Saturday, February 8 from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Dream Maker Creative, 10519 129th St. Northwest, Gig Harbor.
