Night to Shine celebrates special people in Aberdeen

An upcoming event in Aberdeen will bring light to the mid-winter darkness.

The Tim Tebow Foundation is sponsoring the Night to Shine, an event designed especially for people with special needs. The evening is held all over the world on the same night, and is a free outing held at local churches. It is open to people 14 years of age and older who have disabilities of any sort.

Although the details of each event depend on the location, some activities are common to the event no matter where it is held. These include a red carpet entrance where attendees will enjoy a welcome from paparazzi along with friends and family members; gifts; karaoke; limousine rides; shoeshines; makeup and hair stations; a catered dinner, a Respite Room for caregivers and parents; a Sensory Room; and dancing. In addition, every guest will enjoy a ceremony in which they are crowned a Queen or a King.
Banner printing is a cost effective way to mark special ceremonial events.

To take part in Night to Shine as a guest, Aberdeen residents need to register with the local church, which will then email all the necessary details about attending.

The Night to Shine is scheduled for February 7, from 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm, at the Grays Harbor Foursquare Church, 4800 Central Park Drive in Aberdeen.
