Woodbridge to host educational program and community fair
Two special events will be taking place in Woodbridge next month.
The Alzheimer's Association and Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center have teamed up with the Parks and Recreation Department to offer a free educational program on Understanding Alzheimer's and Dementia. The program will discuss basic information on the difference between dementia and Alzheimer's, the risk factors, stages, and treatments approved by the FDA. This will take place on Thursday, September 11 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center on Chinn Park Drive.
Soon after, the Prince William County Police Department will host a community fair featuring public safety agencies, live music, food trucks, and more at the Sean Connaughton Plaza on County Complex Court. This fair will showcase the different areas of police work and celebrate diversity in the county. Those interested in a police career will be able to speak with recruiters and background investigators.
Also participating in the community fair will be organizations from the county government, civic organizations, and other public safety agencies in the county. There will be informational booths, a dunk tank, and other fun activities. This will be on Saturday, September 13 from noon to 4:00 pm.
The use of poster printing ignites excitement, spreading the word about special events like these with bold, eye-catching designs that can captivate a town and neighboring communities.
