Williamsburg to Bike the Bridge next month

The second annual Bike the Bridge will come to Williamsburg next month. Locals can take this opportunity to bike a pre-set course.

Participants will start the race at James City County, where they will bike towards the Chickahominy River. Entrants will then cut through Charles City County by biking along Virginia Capital Trail. There will be several different race selections for participants, including 15-mile, 25-mile, and 50-mile race options. Regardless of which option is chosen, participants will bike the same course.

Each entrant will receive lunch, refreshments, and a race T-shirt for participating. T-Shirts for these events usually feature a special graphic design made specifically to celebrate the race. Spots for the race are limited, so anyone interested will need to pre-register online. Before the race begins, participants will need to check in at the start location. Riders will also receive their race packet after check-in.

Bike the Bridge will take place on November 6, and races will start running from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Start times will be staggered, and participants will begin in waves, with those doing the 50-mile going first and the 15-mile participants going last. Everyone will register and start at Jamestown Beach Event Park, which is located at 2205 Jamestown Road. Registration to the event is $20.
