Faith Stumpf was the 2023 winner of the Kids Safe Online national poster contest organized by the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center. Stumpf is a recent graduate of the WJCC Schools Virtual Academy and she demonstrated her talent by securing a spot among the top 10 contestants. She was one of only two students from Virginia to achieve this accomplishment.
The Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center serves as the primary cybersecurity resource for local and state governments in the United States and it organizes an annual poster contest open to grade K-12 students from all over the country. This contest encourages participants to create visually captivating Posters that promote safe cybersecurity practices among young individuals. Poster printing is a great way to share important information.
Chief information officer of the commonwealth, Robert Osmond, said in a press release:
“Your participation in the contest serves as a model to all students in Virginia when it comes to sharing the message of cybersecurity, and the importance of staying safe while online.”
Stumpf secured first place in the contest, and another student hailing from Radford High School in Virginia was also ranked as one of the best 10 submissions. In total, 18 Virginia students submitted Posters for the competition.
