Popular singer/guitarist to perform in Williamsburg

An acclaimed vocalist and acoustic guitarist is scheduled to entertain in Williamsburg next week.

Jocelyn Oldham plays both ukulele and guitar, and performs tunes that cross a number of genres, thus appealing to audiences of all ages. She offers everything from the Beatles to Patsy Cline, but her favorite is Ingrid Michelson, an artist whose music has been heard on television in programs such as Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs.

A New England native, Oldham moved to Virginia to study at Virginia Tech, which granted her a BA in Music Education. She performed at the Crosswalk Church, formerly the Music Theatre of Williamsburg, and in 2004, obtained her license to teach music. She established “Music Together,” a class for youngsters, and successfully ran a small center for nine years in Williamsburg.

Oldham has performed throughout the Williamsburg, Richmond, and Hampton Roads area, and joined with local bands such as Me & JO and The Rhythm Kings, but found she is happiest going solo. She now lives in Richmond, and frequently performs at weddings and corporate events.

A review says:

“Jocelyn was absolutely amazing and we can't recommend her enough.”

Oldham will be at the Brass Cannon Brewing Company a week tomorrow, November 7, from 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm. Flyer printing can provide handouts that help advertise events like this.
