Opera in Williamsburg will return to the city again next month. This time the series will feature L’Elisir d’Amore, which translates to The Elixir of Love in English.
The Elixir of Love is an opera written by Gaetano Donizetti in 1832. Taking place in an Italian village, the opera tells the story of the stubborn love between Adina and Nemorino. Both characters attempt to give love potions to one another, not knowing that these potions are just regular wine.
There will be four performances total, with each taking place at the Kimball Theater. All shows will have reserve seating, where audience members can choose where they sit ahead of time. The venue will be at full capacity during the performances, but guests are required to wear face masks while watching.
Kimball Theater will continue to hold new performances in the future. These events are usually promoted with the support of poster printing.
The opera performances will be conducted on September 10th and 12th, with shows available at both 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM on both days. Tickets to the show range from $15 to $52, depending on where the seat is located. Tickets are available for purchase online or by phone at 1-800-249-0179. For the venue location, guests can find the theater at 428 West Duke of Gloucester Street.
